Experimental study on the wave measurements of wave buoys

    Get PDF
Wave measurement is of vital importance for assessing the wave power resources and for developing wave energy devices, especially for the wave energy production and the survivability of the wave energy device. Wave buoys are one of the most popular measuring technologies developed and used for long-term wave measurements. In order to figure out whether the wave characteristics can be recorded by using the wave buoys accurately, an experimental study was carried out on the performance of three wave buoy models, viz two WaveScan buoys and one ODAS buoy, in a wave tank using the European FP7 MARINET facilities. This paper presents the test results in both time and frequency domains and the comparison between the wave buoys and wave gauge measurements. The analysis results reveal that for both regular and irregular waves, the WaveScan buoys have better performances than the ODAS buoy in terms of accuracy and the WaveScan buoys measurements have a very good correlation with those from the wave gauges

Design and Simulation of Small Space Parallel Parking Fuzzy Controller

Based on the nonlinearity and time-variation of automatic parking path tracking control system, we use fuzzy control theories and methods to explore the control rules to improve fuzzy controllers and design an automobile steering controller. Then we build the simulation experiment platform of an automobile in Simulink to simulate the reversing settings of parallel parking. This paper adopts the Mamdani control rules; the membership function is the Gauss function. This paper verifies the fuzzy controller's kinematic model and the advantages of fuzzy control rules. Simulation results show that the design of the controller allows the automobile to stop into the parking space smaller than the space obtained by planning path, and automatic parking becomes possible in the parking plot. The control system is characterized by small tracking error, fast response and high reliability

For digital model of brushless DC motor, simulation models can be built in MATLAB / Simulink. Simulation parameters are selected parameters according to the actual system. The conventional PID control algorithm produce large overshoot and oscillation, we use fuzzy logic PID algorithm to response quickly and back the system overshoot to steady state, the steady state has a higher precision, faster response speed, and bigger anti-jamming capability

Design of PZT Micro-displacement Acquisition System

    No full text
The performance of micro-displacement acquisition device directly affects the performance of micro-positioning system and its high cost. So this paper designed a micro-displacement acquisition system consisting of detection bridge, amplifier circuit, filter circuit and SMT32F103 controller. The micro-displacement signal acquisition is achieved by using the SMT32F103 controller to complete transfer of the displacement signal and PC with LabVIEW program called dynamic link library way to complete the communication controller
